This water softener is designed to save space since the system houses both tanks in a single container.
The Amazon systems use two tanks and a six step process to soften hard water. The way this water softener works is simple. Once the minerals causing the hard water are removed, the system goes through a regeneration process where remaining salt is removed and the system is refilled and prepared for the next session. The process uses both tanks to make the process of softening water more efficient.
